Patrick Woods –Director of Development

Focused on all aspects of fundraising, campaign activities and organizational advancement for Ocean Alliance, Pat first joined the team as a volunteer in 2001 and joined the staff full-time in 2002.

 

Following three years in sales after graduation, Pat began his professional fundraising career and has held major gift fundraising positions at the United Way of Massachusetts Bay in Boston, the University of Connecticut and the Massachusetts Audubon Society.

 

Pat has spent significant time at sea as a crewmember aboard Ocean Alliance’s research vessel, Odyssey and he periodically volunteers aboard the Hurricane II whale watch vessel in Gloucester, MA.

 

Almost born aboard a sloop on Long Island Sound in 1974, Pat has since nurtured a strong connection to the ocean environment.

 

Originally from southwestern Connecticut, he has a Bachelor of Arts degree from Hobart College in Geneva, NY.
